Racing to Zero is proud to announce its continued collaboration with the Canada Games movement moving into the 2027 edition of the Games, to be held in Quebec City from February 27th to March 14th, 2027.
In a collaborative effort between Racing to Zero, the 2027 Canada Games Host Society, the Canada Games Council (CGC), and the City of Québec, this project builds on the ongoing commitments of the CGC to measure, report, and minimize its environmental impacts.
The project, which began over 1 year prior to the Opening Ceremonies, aims to address several key areas throughout the planning process to provide practical steps for the 2027 Canada Games Host Society to take towards reducing the environmental impact of the Games. Additionally, building off of previous work between Racing to Zero, the University of Toronto, and the 2025 Canada Games, the total emissions will be reported, analyzed, and compared. Finally, through a collaborative effort with the host city, this project will leave a lasting legacy for sustainability in sport hosting in Quebec City.

Racing to Zero offrira divers services de durabilité pour les Jeux du Canada de 2027
Racing to Zero est fier d’annoncer la poursuite de sa collaboration avec le mouvement des Jeux du Canada pour l’édition 2027, qui se tiendra à Québec du 27 février au 14 mars 2027.
Ce projet, fruit d’une collaboration entre Racing to Zero, la Société hôtesse des Jeux du Canada de 2027, le Conseil des Jeux du Canada (CJC) et la Ville de Québec, s’appuie sur les engagements continus du CJC à mesurer, déclarer et minimiser ses impacts environnementaux.
Lancé plus d’un an avant la cérémonie d’ouverture, ce projet vise à aborder plusieurs aspects clés du processus de planification afin de fournir à la Société hôtesse des Jeux du Canada de 2027 des mesures concrètes pour réduire son impact environnemental. De plus, en s’appuyant sur les précédents travaux menés conjointement par Racing to Zero, l’Université de Toronto et les Jeux du Canada de 2025, les émissions totales seront comptabilisées, analysées et comparées. Enfin, grâce à une collaboration avec la ville hôte, ce projet aura un impact durable sur les pratiques écoresponsables dans l’accueil d’événements sportifs à Québec.
