Today, Tourism London unveiled the new London Sustainable Event Hosting Resource Guide, a resource developed by Racing to Zero to help promote environmentally responsible sporting events in the city.
The guide was designed specifically for sport event organizers in London, providing best practices, tips, tricks, and helpful resources to embed sustainability into the planning process. It is applicable to events of all scales and sizes, and provides specific examples of how an event organizer can incorporate sustainability initiatives into their event.
Zanth Jarvis, Director of Sport Tourism at Tourism London, said, “We’re proud to launch this guide to raise awareness and provide local organizers with a tool to continue making positive impacts on the environment when it comes to sport event hosting. Sustainability is an important issue, and we look forward to seeing the positive impact this guide will have on events throughout our community.”
